This newspaper will be like FIU’s version of The Onion, which is a famous publication known for fake articles. This is because that “other campus newspaper” prefers not to publish satire. It is also against pointless and completely false articles with no footing in reality or fact.
If you would like to write for The Bacon, we recommend you seek professional help. If you are diagnosed with any type of mental condition or psychosis, we would be happy to meet you and look at some of your work and talk about your ideas.
There are only a few rules when writing a Bacon article. You must misspell or make-up everyone’s name. Also no killing anyone off, that’s just rude. Public figures are fair game, you can say whatever you want about them, even make up quotes. I mean people know we did not really get a quote from Bill Clinton or a talking dog.
Currently we don’t have the cash to have our newspaper printed, marketed, or respected. What we will most likely do is post articles on this website and occasionally pass out articles on campus to increase awareness, bother people and create litter.
